An Annunciation Announcement

This is the distinctive feast of the Consecration Devotion and was chosen so that we might honour and imitate that dependence which the eternal Word accepted on this day out of love for us. On this the Solemnity of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Church rejoices at the message of the Archangel Gabriel that Mary was chosen to be the Mother of the Savior of the World, Jesus Christ. Mary said yes to God's will as so we should in our pilgrim journey of faith. Especially in this Year of Faith, we should be saying YES to God's will for us and trust in the Lord's plans for us.This feast day usually falls on March. 25 (exactly 9 months before Christmas since it commemorates the conception of Jesus), but it was transferred this year because of Holy Week and the Easter week.
